Wetting Agent

It is a surface active agent used to reduce the surface tension of water during various steps of textile pretreatment. The high surface tension of water is problematic in many applications where spreading and penetration of water inside the fibre surface is desired.

The efficacy of an effective wetting agent depends on its capacity to quickly get Adsorbed on the fibre surface, then rapidly diffuse inside the fibre matrix and remove the undesired impurities and finally transport the extracted material out of the fibre without allowing it to get redeposited on the fibre surface.
